This hotel is by far one of my faves if not my favorite in the upper North Island. It's actually the staff here that make the difference in a great experience of somewhere to stay. Kat and Amber are who I'm lucky enough to usually have check me in and honestly these two woman are just absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is right in the heart of Tuakau. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms have great showers and the beds are lush as. The complimentary cookies I'm a sucker for but even the mini bar items are great as well. Each room is well equipped to meet one's needs while staying.

So grateful to the lovely lady who checked me into the hotel. Her attention to care of those checking in went above and beyond. I really appreciated her exceptional service, wonderful smile and actually giving a shit about a complete stranger. I wish I took the time to ask her name. Her empathetic nature is rare and hard to find these days especially in this industry. The room was awesome. The beds here are so comfortable that you don't want to get out of bed. The complimentary cookies I really liked. Great shower pressure and overall just a really great place to stay.

I was lucky enough to be able to stay afew extra nights as I extended my holiday. And for them to accommodate me at such short notice and have my room turned around the same day I booked as absolute perfection. Love the communication on their end by means of emails, texts, calls I really appreciate it so much as some places don’t even going to that length to ensure great customer service. So I really appreciate that so much.

I absolutely love staying here. The staff are great and the rooms are a good size and provide all that is needed. Free wifi, complimentary cookies, great shower pressure, sky tv with all channels, and great mini bar options at an affordable price. There's also the bar & restaurant downstairs which have good meal options too. So central and walking distance to everything in Tuakau township. But the beds here are so comfortable I generally struggle to get up as I just want to stay lying in that comfort.

The Tiamat Hotel is an historical building that has been nicely refurbished with a lot of attention to detail. We stayed in the oldest building and, while the room was small, it was comfortable & had all we needed. The restaurant is excellent.

I stayed in one of the ground floor apartments. These rooms are a great size with the basic kitchen amenities required for your stay. Fitted with a bench top element, toaster & a microwave perfect for those wanting to prepare a meal instead of dining out or ordering takeout. Like the other rooms the bathroom facilities are great, beds are super comfortable great pillows. Parking right at the door as well. Overall this hotel never fails to please.

I loved the communication with the hotel, I had a special request and was solved straight away. The room was super clean, had what I needed for the night, the bed was super comfy and the shower was big and the pressure was so amazing. Easy check in and check out, shops, gym, park etc was walking distance, Restaurant and bar downstairs was delightful as well.

We enjoyed being central to everything. Our friends also stayed next door. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean. Extra bed was good although we didn’t use it. Robes were clean & fresh. Bathroom was clean, fully supplied with necessities. Sheltered parking was a bonus especially as the weather was not great. Pity we didn’t stay longer, and we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the restaurant.

For a day stopover I fine the Tuakau hotel serves its purpose. that everything was a walking distance to meet what you need. Staff are friendly and service that I cannot fault. The locals were friendly . Food was excellently. It a blessing, a place not far from the city. I would not hesitate to come there again just to get out of the busy life of the city. to be able to relax and enjoy the quite and clean environment.
